Purchased for $45,000 (PLUS GST) at the recent MELBOURNE PREMIER YEARLING SALES this outstanding daughter of STRAVINSKY ticks ALL the boxes on type and pedigree to suggest that she is a filly that may grace the turf at an early age and be a player in the early 2yo action. Her pedigree is certainly impressive as evidenced by her GROUP ONE Winning sire in STRAVINSKY-Winner of both the Newmarket July Cup over 1200m and the York Nunthorpe Stakes over 1000m as a three year old.However,it is at stud where he has enjoyed outstanding success and is a stallion most sought after at the sales today. To date STRAVINSKY has produced 7 GROUP ONE Winners which include KEENINSKY (Winner Manawatu Sires Produce),SERANADE ROSE (Winner VRC Oaks),BENBAUN (Winner NZ Prix de l’Abbaye de Longchamp),CAPTIVATE (Winner NZ Thoroughbred Breeders Stakes),BARITONE (Winner QTC Stradbroke Hcp),BALMONT (Winner Newmarket Middle Park Stakes) and SOLDIER’S TALE (Winner Royal Ascot Golden Jubilee Stakes).

He was the leading Sire by aggregate at the 2007 New Zealand National Yearling Sales at Karaka where he had 37 lots sold for an aggregate price of NZ$6,762,500 at an average price of NZ$182,770.He had the second highest lot sold at these sales with a colt ex ETHEREAL selling for $1.3 Million.
